The property is in Gilesgate, on a quiet, residential street but close to the main road and with great access to public transport and good paths to the centre of Durham and Durham University buildings. The closest bus stop is two houses down, less than a minute away. It is also very convenient and easy to reach Durham train station.
10 minute walk to many large supermarkets and shopping centre (Dragonville Retail Park) 3 minute walk to Sainsbury's Local. 15 minute walk to Durham City Centre. 25 minute walk to Durham University Science Site.
With 4 bedrooms, the property is perfect for a group of students to share, as all rooms have a bed, wardrobe, and a good-sized desk. Three of the bedrooms are located on the first floor, while one bedroom is on the ground floor. There are two bathrooms: one on the first floor and one on the ground floor.
There is a large living room with dining area, with a comfortable L-shape sofa and a wide wall-mounted TV for great moments of socialising. The kitchen has all necessary appliances, including two fridge/freezers, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, toaster and kettle, and microwave, and has tons of storage and cupboard space.
There is an attached video with a silent tour. A spoken, walk-around tour can be sent over at your request. The house is being further upgraded with new features and furniture from now until July 1st 2025 - the proposed move-in date. Please feel free to ask for more details.
The large garden has well-maintained grass, but also a paved area with table and chairs to enjoy any moment of sunshine in Durham. Alongside that, there is a bike rack and a shed space for any storage (such as luggage).
Strong WI-FI signal throughout the house, great for online learning.
There is street parking available.
Each room has a different price to reflect room size and you are able to sign a room by room contract rather than a joint contract if preferred. Please get in touch to discuss.
