The house has had a very colourful history being owned by the British military up until a few years back where some of the remanence still remains. The estate is often used by filming companies as a location so be prepared to have some film crew passing you by in the private roads and maybe even a few celebrities. We do ask that you do not wonder the grounds without approval from the site management.
