There is a regular farmers market on Saturdays during spring and summer. For immediate shopping needs a Co-op (open until 10pm) is 5 minutes walk away; Jempsons in the village has great bread. For the big weekly shop Sainsbury's in Tunbridge Wells is just 12 minutes drive away. The well-regarded Sacred Heart School and Wadhurst Primary School are just a few minutes walk. Uplands College is around 15 minutes walk and has an excellent gym, open to all. 

There are fantastic walks all around Wadhurst, great neighbouring villages (with great pubs and coffee shops) and stunning Bewl Water with its sailing club and other watersports. Bedgbury Pinetum, with its bike trails, walks and Go Ape facility, is a short drive away. Tunbridge Wells is 12 minutes by car and just 9 minutes by train. The A21 can be reached in 10 minutes, giving access to both London and the coast.
