IMPORTANT NOTICE PLEASE READ

All Landlords must legally check that a potential tenant has a right to be in the UK lawfully as part of a legal requirement introduced by the government for private landlords. Anyone who rents accommodation to someone who isn't in the country lawfully without carrying out the legal checks can receive a fine from the Government of £3,000.  (This does not apply to you if you are UK citizen).  Therefore proof is required if you are non UK citizen such as letter from the University.

 ACTION YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE

If you wish to proceed may I ask you to provide a copy of the following and also confirm the necessary details below.

•           Confirm the length of rental term 3/6/12 months.

•           Confirm the start and end date of rental term.

•           Please provide a copy of a recent Bank statement showing a UK Address

•           Please provide a copy of your Passport for legal reasons showing passport pages including Photo and signature date of issue etc.

•           A letter from the University/Employer showing your rights to be in the UK to study or contract employment.

•           £500 bond will be required which will be deposited into a Government scheme for safekeeping

•           1 month rent agreed at £499 will be required in advance and due each calendar month thereafter from date of Tenancy contract.

ACTION LANDLORD WILL TAKE

Upon your decision to proceed;

•           An Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) contract upon receipt of documents will be drawn up.

•           Upon receipt of £500 bond this will be deposit into Government backed Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS) required by UK Law.
