There's a lot to do in Sheffield. From exploring the city's incredible parks and outdoor spaces to spending the day enjoying the fantastic shopping available, there's plenty of activities to fill your days away from University. However, Student Roost want to make sure you get the most out of your stay, even when you don't fancy venturing into the city. You'll find lots of wonderful facilities here to make life easier and more enjoyable.

24-hour service 

We ensure our receptions are monitored 24 hours by our lovely Student Roost team. If there is anything you need, any time of day, you will always find a team member available to help.  

Maintenance 

Our maintenance team are on-hand to fix any issues that may occur during your time staying with us. Anything that we provide, we'll take care of fixing, whether this be a light bulb or a kitchen chair. Whatever you need, we’ve got it covered.

Events 

We want you to do your best at University  but we also want you to have fun! You’ll often find us utilising our communal spaces to put on events that will help you relax, learn and enjoy your time at Student Roost. The best thing? They’re all FREE!

Common Room  

Our friendly common room is open 24-7 for those who want a change of scenery or would like to socialise with friends. Here you’ll find space to study, watch television or show off your competitive side with pool, table tennis or our selection of board games.

Watch this space… This is where we hold most of our events too, so keep an eye out for what’s happening around the place.

Bike Storage  

You can find our secure bike storage located at the back of the Property. You will be able to access this with your key. 

If you would like to use our bike store, please let reception know. You’ll be asked to complete a bike registration form prior to being given access to the store itself.  

Study Room   

Accessible 24-7, it doesn’t matter if you’re an early bird or a night owl with our study room. This quiet place will allow a change of scenery without having to venture too far away from home. Need to hold a presentation? Let us know and we can ensure the space is yours between certain times. Don't study alone, bring your friends along too... even if they're not residents!

Please remember that this area will become very busy during exam seasons and it may not always be reasonable to book out the space.  

Garden 

We love a sunny day at Student Roost, so it’s always a good idea to take advantage of our wonderful garden. Handily equipped with picnic benches and plenty of space for a blanket if you want to take you studies outside. 

Not a fan of the heat? We get the best of the cold here too! Why not wrap up warm and just enjoy the fresh air come the winter months – any excuse to leave the library! 

Gym  

One of the best ways to blow of the stress of University life is in the gym. Don’t worry about an expensive membership, we’ve got your covered with our 24-7 on-site gym. 

Here you’ll find everything you need to complete a perfect workout, including rowing machines, pull up bars and free weights. Just fancy stretching out after a long day? Use our designated mat area.  

You will need to complete a GYM PARQ form prior to using the facilities. This  is located in your e-induction. Make sure this is completed before you check in for instant access.  

This studio is provided by student roost.
