The cottage is one half of a Suffolk Longhouse converted in the 19th century to two cottages. It is located on the Western edge of the delightful village of Peasenhall, 5 minutes drive from the train station at  Darsham (Liverpool Street in 2 hours) and convenient for Yoxford, Framlingham, Saxmundham, all the coastal hotspots, and a wide variety of excellent pubs, restaurants, gardens, villages, castles, walks, cycle routes, market towns and festivals. Nirvana really.  

Blackie is an utterly beguiling cottage, majoring on period 16th century features - beams everywhere, lime plastered walls, Suffolk casements, wide oak boards - all immaculately and painstakingly restored and updated to provide every modern convenience. The L shaped sitting room with stove  and log cupboard is entered via a porch with space for boots and coats. A small separate study is a perfect work space with view to the comings and goings of the village. Next comes an eat-in kitchen running the full length of the cottage, with double oven and hob, dishwasher, 1.5 sinks, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The back door leads to the garden and outdoor eating space. There is plenty of cupboard space and an original brick floored larder offering useful food and wine storage.
