This is a short-term (3-16 month) fully furnished let, starting in April. It would particularly suit a single person or couple coming to the University on a temporary contract, but who don't have access to University accommodation. The apartment is normally occupied by the owner who rents it while working away from Oxford.
It's a lovely quiet, bright, warm, modern apartment overlooking the River Thames in South Oxford and an excellent place from which to access the cultural life of Oxford, walk along the Thames, and write or read a book.
The apartment is in excellent condition, modern, fully furnished with oak furniture, well equipped, and energy-efficient. The location (off the end of the Abingdon Road) has good access to the City centre on a main bus route (15 mins), and via the bike path along the Thames (15 mins by bike, 25 mins to walk). There are also direct buses to science facilities to the south such as Culham and Harwell. The apartment is on the second floor (stairs only, no lift) and is particularly peaceful. It comes with a designated parking space just outside. There is a medium-sized supermarket on the corner, 5 minutes away.
An additional £170/m is required for water, internet and electricity making the total paid to owner £1670. For rentals of more than a few months, only water and internet will be included, for a total of £70, and tenant will pay their own electricity bill (currently around £100). In addition tenant is responsible for paying the council tax (£172/m for couple or £129 single-person).
References will be checked. Rental requires a security deposit equivalent to one month's rent+bills, as well as the first and last month's rent+bills in advance.
