The cottage is accessible via a partially asphalted, 1.7 mile long single track road with passing places, which leads you through a beautiful coastal forest (this road is a bit adventurous, as it is a little narrow and can be muddy in wet weather, but it can be driven in any car). The cottage is part of three adjacent coastguards cottages, which were built around 1925 and were used as a fully functioning coastguards station until the 1980s.
