A bright spacious double room in a 3-storey Victorian shared house in Highbury near Arsenal tube station on the Piccadilly line. You have use of the kitchen, washing machine room and sitting room on the ground floor, and you share your bathroom with only one other person on your floor (the house has 3 bathrooms in all). There is a secure bike shed in the front garden.  In the attached photo, yours are the top two windows. There is a large beautifully maintained back garden to enjoy.

The rent is £950 which includes all bills as well as high speed broadband wifi, and a cleaner who cleans once a week.
An academic household with two people frequently working from home, so the ideal tenant would be a young lecturer, post-doc or PhD student. But any other profession which respects quietness is fine.

Please note that this particular rental period is from now until mid October - 4 months or a portion of that (2 months minimum).

Highbury is a pretty 'village' within  north London. It has tree-lined streets, lots of pubs and restaurants, 2 leisure centres with pools (one Council, one membership) and of course Arsenal football ground. It is a 20-30 minute bike ride from London University and Central London, and less on the tube.

The landlord  lives in the house and work on tropical forests and the other two current tenants are respectively a film-school graduate and someone doing a Creative Writing Master's degree. In the past there have been economists, anthropologists, a banker and media specialists.

There is a cat, Max, who will try to make friends with you, so this is not a letting for anyone allergic to cats, or who dislikes cats.  It is essential that any would-be tenant has been vaccinated against COVID.  And this is also a  strictly non-smoking house.
