Reviews of Brockley
------------------------------------
• Telelgraph Hill, picturesque hilly pretty undiscoveredcorner of London, great for transport links. Beautiful views of the city andCanary Wharf, wide, leafy streets. Local pub and Thai restaurant in prettygarden. Great place
• Brockley has a vibrant artistic community. People arefriendly, unpretentious and loyal. Once you've discovered Brockley you don'tever want to move out.
• Good central London area - 10 mins by train to LondonBridge - 20 mins to Charing Cross. Upcoming area close to park and not far fromLewisham (DLR)
• Brockley - it's the new Hackney - and is now connectedto that jewel of the east end with the opening of the East London line. It'snot exactly Knightsbridge, but then again, it's unpretentious, gorgeous (trythe wild beauty of Hilly Fields), lively (the Ravioli ballrooms for 50s retrofunky dress up parties) and is even getting a few classy eateries (BrockleyMess, La Broca, anyone?). Check out Brockley Central, the local blog for thelatest Brockley happenings and civil actions. Brockley-ites / Brocklites likethe latest things, are not immune to a bit of Kultcha but also have fierceownership of the neighborhood and love the streets. Move here but don't telltoo many people about it - don't want everyone to find out!
• Not many people have heard of Brockley but it is a niceresidential area with very good links to the city and town, which people don'trealise. you get more for your money here and it's relaxed and homely withlovely parks. Little bars, cafes and shops are all beginning to open in thearea - hence it being up and coming. A hidden gem very close to the city. You've got to live here to discover it.
• This quiet, leafy little jewel of a place is only 25minutes from Bond Street (through London Bridge or Canada Water) and issandwiched between New Cross & neighbouring 'up & coming' Forest Hill,'villagey' Honor Oak Park & Dulwich Village.
• Brockley is a lovely, friendly place to live - justabout to be discovered by the city crowd on the hunt for still cheap bigVictorian properties with larger than average gardens. Lots of beautiful parksclose by and not far from the famous Goldsmith College. Artists have longdiscovered the area because of the large properties with lots of light. Theeare lots of quirky friendly restaurants bars and gastro pubs....very easyaccess to the city and Central London.
• Brockely is one of the most well connected areas ofSouth East London. Access to several overland stations plus the newOver/Underground at Brockley & Honor Oak - all stations are 15 minutes intoCentral London/London Bridge. Several great bars, good restaurants and theWorld famous Rivoli Ballroom plus green open spaces make Brockley a wonderful, undiscovered gem of a place to live.
• Brockley has great parks and walking areas, excellentfor dog owners. Also cafes and pubs that allow dogs.
• Is a nice place to be living
• This is a lovely residential area with good mix ofstudents from goldsmiths, young professionals and families. Friendly, withexcellent links to central london, east london, city, west end, airports, localcafes, wine bars. pub with theatre, restaurants, famed Rivoli Ballroom, choiceof stations. P.S station not already mentioned to add to the other four isHonor Oak Park trains and overground tube.

• I've lived in the area for 3 years now - enjoyed thecloseness building up with neighbours and ability to say hello to people in thestreet!
• A good area with excellent transport facilities to thecity & beyond.
• Lovely area in zone 3, with a 10 min bus to Lewishamshopping centre and a 17 min train to Central London. This area has a number ofparks and open space and is 30 min door to door, for Goldsmiths university.
