It's extremely green and quiet but also convenient for travel around London, including to London's business districts.

The house is a stone's throw from some of the best parks, sports facilities, restaurants/bars and art galleries in the city, including: Burgess and Southwark Park (which have football fields, tennis, running tracks, BMX tracks, yoga classes, cafes),a smaller local park just around the corner,  Bermondsey Street (tennis, parks, bars, restaurants, cafes, the White Cube gallery), Borough and Maltby Street markets (popular weekend food market and restaurants), South London railway arches (housing Monmouth coffee, the Bermondsey Craft Beer Mile and a huge range of other artisan shops), Southbank (galleries and museums including the Design Museum, the TATE, Hayward Gallery and BFI), other nearby facilities include the Tobacco Factory climbing wall, tennis courts, gyms, lidos and sports fields. 


Transport

As the house is in Zone 1 there are great transport links in and around London, as well as out of the city from London Bridge Train Station, one of London's main transport hubs. 

Borough and Bermondsey tube stations on the Northern and Jubilee lines are the closest, and are all within a 10/15 minute walk. London Bridge is 20m walk. Soho is 25 minute bus ride, or a 20 minute cycle. The City is a short cab ride or 20 minute tube ride, and Bank is 20 min walk or bus ride. There is also a river boat from London Bridge City Pier and numerous buses to bring you home day and night.

There is a direct train from Gatwick Airport to London Bridge, a bus or train from Stanstead Airport, which goes to Liverpool Street where you can easily jump on a bus that drops you directly outside the house (No 78). From Heathrow Airport you have loads of options from tube, to Heathrow Express train, to coach to cab.
