We're looking for a resourceful and friendly couple or small family to rent this very special and spacious home for a period of between 3-6 months, while it is up for sale. Credit will be offered for time during estate agent arranged and managed viewing days.

The house was completely renovated with double/triple glazing and is very well insulated. The underfloor heating and radiators are powered from a combination of wood-fired biomass boiler and electric air-source heat pump. There are also woods stoves in the office and sitting room. You would be responsible for 80% of the electricity usage, but firewood is currently well stocked and you're welcome to use it.

Practicalities:

• Water supply is private, with modern filtration and UV systems. It's generally reliable but does require occasional maintenance
• Typical electricity use is around 17,500 kWh / year. You can reduce / manage this by using the biomass log burner. Logs are supplied.
• We have an airbnb on the property which we manage remotely.
• Track to the house is owned by Forestry Commission, but we're responsible for maintenance.
