Our Space:

Our retreat is a tranquil peaceful escape from city life for a more gentle pace. The apartment offers a comfy king-size bed, soft linens and ambient lighting with built-in recharging ports on the bedside lamps. Relax and enjoy a restful nights sleep.

There also a mezzanine level with a small double bed for your guests or family to stay over whilst you are away working or in-between your house sale or search.

The living area is a classic blend of oak furniture and modern comfort.

our apartment is a stone's throw from the Halifax town centre a 3 minutes drive or 10 minutes walk and has its own free dedicated parking space provided. There is visitor parking on a first come first served basis. Further free car parking is to be found at the end of the street.

Halifax is not only world famous for its Grade 1 listed Piece Hall seen in many TV series such as BBC Antiques Road show but also the series Gentleman Jack the adaptation from the BBC of Anne Listers life at Shibden Hall a short drive away and easy walk from the apartment. The Hall is set in beautiful parkland and has become an international tourist destination.

This amazing Grade 1 listed building is an architectural and cultural centre unique to England. It's the only remaining Georgian cloth hall in the world. An important trade centre for the woollen and woven textiles industry from the middle ages to the early 19th century. Dating from 1778 stands as the most outstanding Georgian building in Britain.

Piece Hall a highly visible building in Halifax is the centre piece with a statement of great wealth and pride of the cloth manufacturers.

a genius construction adapted the Neo-Classical orders of architecture derived originally from the Romans.

It stands today in all its glory as a source of craft shops, cafes and a meeting destination. A place of many TV series and shows such as The Antique Roadshow and more recently a cultural outdoor music venue in the summer with indoor marque for indoor events throughout the winter months.

The summer of 2023 saw the revival of top music concerts with many famous artists appearing like Sting.

2024 will be even bigger. Tickets are already selling fast for a host of top international musicians and artists booked on stage under the stars this summer from Tom Jones, McFly, Rick Astley, Status Quo, Crowded House, Niles Barclay, Richard Ashcroft, The Idles, Blondie, Sheryl Crow, Tom Odel, The Stranglers and Bryan Adams to name a few top names playing in 2024.

Halifax has excellent rail links to all UK main cities, the station just a few minutes drive from the apartment with Leeds Bradford international airport 45 minutes approximately away. Motorway access ten minutes drive traffic dependant to all parts of the UK including Manchester.

If you love walking, running cycling you will not be disappointed with many well signed walks and rides within a few minutes from the apartment. Halifax is becoming a go to destination for events & history.

A welcome guide with all the essentials locally for services from medical to travel if required during your stay.

A flat screen TV is provided for watching and listening to the many movies and CDs provided.

Please Note:

There is also the extra mezzanine addition of a small double bed, whilst novel may not suit all your guests, if you prefer more privacy to others staying up late. Not suitable for small children as the stairs are steep or require night visits to the bathroom downstairs, or large heavy suitcases; although they can be easily stored downstairs. Sleep under the stars.
