A therapist from South Africa is moving on to new pastures!. Everyone has given permission to list their professions!

Applications for more long term, (possibly those who want to work from home) will be given preference as it gives the home a comfy stability which house mates like. .

About the room….
This is a penthouse single, oak beamed bedroom on the second storey in an historic house with a large en suite.

About the house……..
Work from home, workstations provided. Sip your coffee whilst watching the sunrise over the river or enjoy a glass of wine as you cook dinner on the luxury 7 hob, 3 oven gas range. Although Kombucha is being brewed in the kitchen in many flavours at the moment

This historic 18th Century home with approx. 2,000 square feet of living space has beautiful sunlight shining through the dual aspect windows.

About the area…..

Wander leisurely around the gem town of Cockermouth (established in 1220). It’s very calming to be able to walk everywhere in town. The home has a good vibe and the house mates will make you welcome.

It’s in a unique, quiet, downtown location by the river. A one min walk takes you to the Main Street. Here you will find many good cafes serving speciality coffees, gyms, pubs and many great restaurants. The ‘Honest Lawyer’ on the river is a favourite for house mates, ‘The Spice Club’ is close by for an excellent curry or Little Basil for Thai takeaway.

The Castle Bar, a CAMRA award winning pub built in the 16th Century, the Kirkgate theatre which hosts live music and events, the medical centre, the Leisure Centre, Sainsbury’s and speciality shops are all within 3-4 mins walking distance.

There are parking spaces available with a resident’s permit, in the nearby well lit car park or on the street with disc parking.

There are rooms over 3 floors, 3 bathrooms and a utility room. The communal room is the huge kitchen where you are welcome to socialise.

House manager may be at the property when upgrading/improving house.
