Looking for co-operative, considerate flatmates who will appreciate this friendly, clean and tidy property owned and run by a Buddhist Charity.

Uma Centre is a wonderful and peaceful place to live. The benefits of living in a Buddhist Centre for those interested in meditation and Buddhism are immense and much can be gained from living in a spiritual community. It is not necessary to be Buddhist but applicants would need to respect the Centre activities and contribute to communal living, learning to live harmoniously with your fellow housemates, caring for the Centre and helping out.

We have various sizes of furnished and comfortable rooms ranging from £290 - £350 per calendar month, inclusive of bills. Please note the rooms available are on the first and second floors (stair access only). Rooms are available on a long or short term basis. 

We have shared shower rooms, a large shared kitchen and a laundry room. Included in the rent is all utilities, Council Tax, wi-fi, parking (when available), and an opportunity to be part of a peaceful and friendly community.

The Centre is non-smoking, alcohol free, vegetarian and, to reduce distraction, no TV or loud noise.

One month’s rent is payable in advance plus a refundable deposit. Other terms and conditions apply.

We are very close and within easy walking distance of Carlisle City Centre, the railway station and bus station.
