Room in a Shared House, Scott Avenue, CT1

A spacious semi-detached 4 bedroom house in the quiet neighbourhood. The home has a large living room and a decently sized kitchen/diner. The kitchen table can seat 14 people and the living about the same (with a few extra chairs).

We are offering a double room which is down the hallway from our own bedroom. We have an en suite so you will have almost exclusive access to the family bathroom (we occasionally use it for baths and others will use it when we have guests to stay).

The home is just a 15 minute walk to the centre of Canterbury. There are plenty of shops nearby and it's a 5 minute walk to Morrisons and B&M and a 10/15 minute walk to Aldi.

There's space to store a bicycle, plenty of parking on the street outside, a small garden, utility room and plenty of space to host family and friends.

We are a married couple in our early 30s with a newborn. I (the husband) work full-time and my wife works full time but will be on maternity leave from May. We both attend church, where I serve as an elder. 

We are a family who loves to have fun, and we love hosting people for dinner (and games), especially international students. You will of course be free to have your own guests over and we are happy for you to "book" the kitchen/living room for an evening to host family/friends.

Of course, there will be a newborn so we can't promise absolute peace and quiet, but our bedroom is down the hallway from yours so there will at least be some space between your bedroom and ours, which will hopefully mean you aren't woken up in the night (you can see the floor plan in the images. Yours will be the yellow room).

We are really relaxed and want you to feel at home. We completely understand if you just want your own space and would prefer to spend time in your room. On the other hand, if you want to hang out then that's great too.

The room will be available from around 1st August (exact date yet to be confirmed), and we would like someone who can commit to at least 6 months with us. Unfortunately, we won't be able to accept anyone who is on benefits
