The house is based on a quiet street and you can park outside the property. There is a drive, but that is for the owner to park on and not the lodger.
All bills are included, with the exception of a contribution of £60pm towards gas and electricity. This only applies if there is a significant rise based on Lodgers usage. You will have broadband, Sky TV in your room. You have storage under the bed, chest of drawers and x2 inbuilt wardrobes in your room for storage.
There will be cupboard space and fridge allocation in the kitchen for you in terms of space and you are allowed to use other items supplied in the kitchen.
There is a large garden to the rear of the property, which you can use, when not in use by the owner. Please note that covered furniture/BBQ is not for use of the lodger, but chairs are available for use. No fires/BBQ are permitted on the decking areas.
Occasional friends/family may be permitted, but the permission for this to happen must always be granted from the owner first.
There is also a lovely historical park, close by that is great for exercise and relaxing with friends and family during the spring and summer. Bexleyheath shopping center is also near by, where most mainstream shops are available. If you drive Bluewater if only a 15 mins drive away, which is great for shopping and socialising.
Neighbours are nice and friendly, but this is a quite and respectable area, so no loud music or noise is really expected.
There is a clean space agreement in place, meaning that you would be expected to clean up after you have used anything and keep the bathrooms/Kitchen clean and as found. You are permitted to eat in the kitchen and in your room, but all rubbish must be thrown away.
Really, looking for an easy going professional, who likes their own space, but is friendly and respectful. Although, I'm a live in landlord, work and other commitments mean the lodger would often have the place to themselves... so you need to like your own company 😊.
It would be better if you drive, however there are good bus routes and if you are someone who doesn't mind a 15-mins walk, you can get to Bexley Train Station which is a main line into central London.
