Description

Note: This OpenRent Property Is No Longer Available For Rent. Description below is only for reference, and you can no longer book a viewing or contact this private landlord.
A 3 bed terraced house, built around 1880. Split over 3 floors, with the front door depositing you in the middle floor.

Top floor comprises a huge master bedroom (5m by 4m) and a second bedroom (3m by 3m).

Middle floor is the third generous bedroom (3m by 3m - used by the landlord as another reception room) and a fully tiled big bathroom with walk-in rainfall shower, separate full-size bath, toilet, sink and good storage.

Basement floor (which becomes the ground floor once you get to the back of the house) has a reception room with windows to the front (5m by 4m), below ground but still well-lit, and a large kitchen with a Smeg range, quartz worktops and double American fridge/freezer with ice maker (5m by 4m).

The glazed kitchen doors open out to the garden with patio, pond filled with yellow irises, lawn and gravel BBQ area at the back.
Tiled floors in bathroom and kitchen, wooden floors elsewhere and carpet on the stairs for extra stealthiness.

About Plumstead.
Bramblebury Road (SE18) is just off Plumstead Common. There's 4 maintained tennis courts at the top of the road and a fierce round robin thing you can sign up to. Also there's a lawn bowls club, nature reserve, riding stables and dog park (gated field), all at the top of the road, with a kids' splash park, ravine with duck pond, running track and several Iron Age burial mounds (no kidding) elsewhere on the Common. 50% of Plumstead is parks, commons and woodland, so you're spoilt in this regard. Our nearest cafe is the highly acclaimed Plumstead Pantry, and pubs The Old Mill (old school pub, the odd chutney competition or live band) and The Star (Jamie Oliver's 15 alumni, Sunday roast, open mic comedy and poetry slam) are a short walk. Greenwich Rugby Club is just in front of The Old Mill. Friends of Shrewsbury Park, Plumstead Common Environmental Group and Art Plumstead hold regular events, markets, nature walks and activities if you want to get involved. Shooters Hill with its golf course, equestrian centre, city farm, garden centre and castle (not a lie) are an uphill walk, but once you get there you can check out the rolling view out of the city from Oxleas Meadows, or look at the skyscrapers from above from Shrewsbury. Charlton House and Charlton (outdoor, heated) Lido are a walk away. Woolwich is a short walk and hosts the usual high street/supermarket offering along with some good pubs, restaurants and cafes on the Arsenal site, a Saturday farmers' market, an acclaimed Eritrean restaurant (The Blue Nile), lots of Nepalese, a good Vietnamese etc. Get to Blackheath on the train. You can get Plumstead honey, Plumstead coffee, Plumstead sourdough and freaking Plumstead vegan doughnuts for all of your hipster needs.
That's as hipster as it gets - Plumstead is London's best-kept secret and we're keeping it that way!
