It's a decent house, well-maintained by private landlords. We try to be fair and honest with our tenants and hope that our tenants will respect our property and pay the rent on time every month.
It's a tough time for tenants though. The government has been messing with the tax system and hitting landlords hard, as well as bringing in more and more regulation, so many landlords are selling up, making a shortage of properties, especially around Peterborough. This means that we are looking for the best tenants there are. I need to know why you are the best tenant for this house. You need to be employed/in business/self-supporting, so not relying on benefits. You need good landlord references because I need to know you will keep the house clean and undamaged and let me know when anything goes wrong. I've had a lot of enquiries so can't offer viewings to everyone. I may not respond immediately but I will hope to do some viewings in the next few days for the right applicants. It will be absolutely no smokers and probably no pets too, sorry.
The right tenants for this house will probably be a family of three or four, or a couple, or two friends sharing.
I am not looking for extended family groups of adults because the house is not enormous and only has one living room and one bathroom. I am not looking for three or more unrelated sharers because new rules mean I would soon need an HMO licence in this case. A family of five or more would probably be too many. I don't want an overcrowded house. I also want to keep the neighbours happy, because they have all been in this quiet place for years and are lovely.
I would be most interested in someone who wants to move in within the next few days as the house is now vacant.
