Shops: There is a convenience store, butchers and dry cleaners on Strand on the Green and a Sainsbury’s Local and Costa Coffee at Kew Bridge. Cafe Rouge, Strand Cafe and Annie’s are all good local restaurants. There are three pubs in close walking distance along Strand on the Green – the closest is the Bell & Crown which is at the end of Pyrmont Road a few doors away. The Bulls Head and City Barge are a short walk along the river. For a larger selection of shops and restaurants, Chiswick High Road is 20 minutes walk away, or reachable by local bus, as is Richmond.

Parks: Kew Gardens is just across Kew Bridge. Syon Park is a short distance away in Isleworth. Chiswick Park is a 15 minute walk.

Waldeck Road is a block back from Strand on the Green and the River Thames.
