Rottingdean Village:
The historical village of Rottingdean is a thriving village with three schools and many shops, pubs, restaurants, sports facilities and a pebble beach. It still retains a high street bank, a proper library and not forgetting of course, the famous Kipling's Gardens.  Beacon Hill Nature Reserve with it's iconic C19th windmill is a few minutes walk away and there are many walking/running/cycle routes around the village connecting the South Downs National Park with the coastal paths.

Surrounding Area:
Sussex University with its new Falmer Sports complex is just up the road (4 miles) and over the hill in the next village - Saltdean Lido (1 mile) is due for a grand re-opening in Spring 2017 with a heated swimming pool and gymnasium.  Brighton Marina is a short hop away too (3 miles), with its large Asda supermarket, Rendezvous Casino, Cineworld Cinema and numerous cafes, shops and restaurants.. not to mention a few yachts!
