THE AREA: My place is in Zone 1. It is 20 minutes walk from Kensington Palace (Princess Diana's old home). If you walk in the other direction you arrive at Marble Arch walking 20 minutes and the famous Oxford Street begins there. The flat is a few hundred meters from Hyde Park itself and if you walk across it towards Hyde Park Corner, Constitution Hill and Buckingham Palace is not far from there. It will take about 50 minutes walk to Buckingham Palace and about 30 minutes by public transport. Walking is a much nicer way, so you can see that the flat is in a very central location.
