Property review:
We have been renting the flat for 2 years now. We chose the flat as the location is ideal: There is a shopping park across the road with a large, well-stocked Sainsburys, there is a bus stop right outside the flat which takes you into St. Albans in 15-20mins, it is just off the M25, a parking spot comes with the flat but there is also plenty of on-street parking too, there are plenty of nice walks nearby.
The property is in good condition. For 2 people the flat is very spacious. There is a spare room which was great for when we had visitors stay but also doubled as a storage area. Any maintenance issues were dealt with by the landlord in a timely manner. As the flat is managed by a private landlord communication was much easier and any issues dealt with quicker than through an agency, in my experience.
The landlord is a very friendly and approachable landlord. They encourage feedback about the flat as they want to keep on top of the maintenance.
