THE COTTAGE 


GROUND FLOOR

A separate room off the kitchen houses a freezer and storage units with a door leading out to Wood Lane. A further utility room houses a washing machine, tumble drier and second toilet and sink. There is an iron and ironing board.

There is an entrance hall and a snug/office/second reception room which incorporates an entrance to the stairs.

FIRST FLOOR

There are three bedrooms – one with king-size bed, one with double bed. The third room is a large open plan area suitable for third bedroom or dressing area. The rooms can be re-configured to suit.

The upstairs bathroom has an extra large bath with overhead and wall shower with folding bath screen. There is a duel fuel radiator/towel rail which can be used separately from the heating system to dry towels during the summer months.

The garden has a large lawn and a stylish dining patio. The cobbled driveway can accommodate up to eight cars.

Being a traditional cottage there are three low beams. The stairs are winding but have a safety rail. 

The Apartment

BARSTON 
For golf enthusiasts West Midlands Golf Club is a two minute drive, Nailcote & Copt Heath Golf courses five minutes & The Belfry Golf Course is just 20 minutes away.

Fishermen can enjoy Blythe Waters (a three minute walk across the fields), Barston Lakes or Oak Lane Farm in Barston, both of which are a two minute drive.

Barston offers many beautiful country walks and Wood Lane itself is a tranquil spot, used by very few vehicles or pedestrians as there are only three properties in the lane.

The closest restaurant, The Malt Shovel at Barston, is a two minute walk away and provides atmospheric dining in the bar as well as a more formal restaurant.  (note that The Malt Shovel at Barston is currently closed due to Covid)

The Bulls Head, a 10 minute walk through the village, offers a more traditional menu and a host of award-winning real ales.

In the neighbouring villages of Hampton in Arden & Knowle are Peels, The Beeches, Longfellows and a host of other excellent restaurants of all cuisines.

Less than a five minute drive away is the village of Knowle with all amenities - Tesco, garage, pubs, restaurants, all shops etc. There are local Indian and Chinese delivery services and both the Malt Shovel & Bulls Head are happy to offer a plated up meal if you want an extra special takeaway!
