Barston offers many beautiful country walks and Wood Lane itself is a tranquil spot, used by very few vehicles or pedestrians as there are only three properties in the lane.
The closest restaurant, The Malt Shovel at Barston, is a two minute walk away and provides atmospheric dining in the bar as well as a more formal restaurant. (note that The Malt Shovel at Barston is currently closed due to Covid)
The Bulls Head, a 10 minute walk through the village, offers a more traditional menu and a host of award-winning real ales.
