ABOUT THE ROOM: The room is on the courtyard facing side of the house (so away from the street) and has a large window. It is on the upper floor of a few-floor flat. The room features a double bed, large wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a shared bathroom on the half-floor above with a bathtub that is shared with the girl on that upper floor. (The downstairs room has its own.)
ABOUT THE FLAT: it's a massive flat above a (currently empty) shop, which makes it look like a house with the multiple floors and massive space. It features lots of large windows and high ceilings, as it's a Victorian-era structure it is also a bit older with character. It is made up of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big living room and a big kitchen with everything that you may need including: two fridges, one freezer, dishwasher, brand new laundry/drying machine, double oven; so everything that you need if you like to cook like me! :) I have all of the kitchen stuff, so no need to worry about that, but you are welcome to bring in more things into the house if you do have them! (We are a sharing household, but if you prefer to have your things separate that is fine).
THE LOCATION: situated on Essex road, there are a lot of buses just in front (38,73,476,341,271) to go to central (or other) parts of London. It's a 10min walk away from Highbury&Islington (Victoria Line) station and same from Angel (Northern Line) station. In addition to this, Essex Road station is just two minutes away.
The area features lot of shops, bars, pubs and restaurants in the area and is right next to Angel - meaning it is both quiet and lively in the perfect amount!
ABOUT THE FLATMATES: young professionals working in architecture (fine art and art history background and architecture); so our main interests lie within the arts and cultures. We have international backgrounds and education; we are open and friendly.
We are looking for someone who will keep in the same mind-set of treating this house as a home rather than a hotel/hostel and take pride in having it tidy, warm and welcoming. I have been living here for over 4 years so it really is my home base after 7/8 years in London and have a very good relationship with the landlord.
We love to cook and share a glass of wine. We enjoy spending time with each other, but also need our own space. We are not party animals but often have family or very close friends over.
Since the house is large and we all have fairly large rooms and space, we see each other a lot but also enjoy our own privacy. **
PRICE: One year contract. The rent is 800 per month (to be paid prior to the 13th of each month) with water included. On top of that, the bills are: for 29.33 gas/electricity each + around 10 for internet each+ council tax split between the 3 of us around 36 pounds each .
Our landlord will ask for references check, and a deposit of 1080 will have to be paid. The landlord is a very sweet older gentleman who is always around to help or fix things if needed.
***Move-in date is July 14th*** (May be possibly flexible but dependant on the current flatmate that is leaving. Can only guarantee this date).
