The location is ideal for someone working in the City (one tube stop to London Bridge, half an hour’s walk to Monument station along the Thames Path) or Canary Wharf (two tube stops on the Jubilee line). Bus lines 47 (Shoreditch to Bellingham), 188 (Russell Square to North Greenwich), 381 (Peckham to Waterloo) and C10 (Canada Water to Victoria) run alongside Jamaica Road. Any professionals working near London Bridge will not even have to take public transport as it only takes 20 minutes to get there.

Local amenities:
There is a small Sainsbury’s on Jamaica Road (3-4 minutes’ walk), a larger Tesco further up Jamaica Road (10-12 minutes’ walk) and a large Tesco hypermarket in Surrey Quays (20 minutes’ walk).
There are two riverfront pubs within walking distance; the Angel (3 minutes’ walk, amazing outside space with a beautiful view of London Bridge and the City’s skyline in the summer) and the Mayflower (10 minutes’ walk in Rotherhithe village, one of London’s oldest pubs, always very busy and serves great food – a personal favourite of mine).

Parks and recreation:
Southwark Park is almost right outside your door (3 minutes’ walk), and the flat is only a couple hundred yards from the river Thames, with the riverfront being entirely pedestrian, which is very convenient for joggers. The closest swimming pool and gym are 7 Islands Leisure Centre at the southern end of Southwark Park, a c. 15 minutes’ walk. Southwark Park also offers tennis courts (5ish minutes’ walk from the flat).
