In case you're new to the area, Nine Elms is currently undergoing substantial regeneration. There are some nice new bars, pubs and restaurants nearby, and a couple of theatres. There's also a huge Sainsbury's less than five minutes away.
The room faces New Covent Garden Market, so there is some low-level noise at night. I was sleeping in the room for two years without any problems, but it wouldn't suit a light sleeper.
The flat is a 12 minute walk from Vauxhall station (zone 1/2) and a 15 minute walk from Stockwell station (zone 2), and well-served by local buses (77, 87, 196, 452).
