The Flat

This beautiful, modern attic flat is a haven of peace in the city. It is extremely spacious, light, and as quiet as anywhere in London. It has two good-sized double bedrooms, one bathroom, and a large, airy living area with a well-equipped kitchen. The bedroom has a double bed, a custom-built desk with good lighting, and large amounts of storage. Every area of the flat gets buckets of natural light (as you can see from the house plants!) and a small roof space (not for the faint of heart), which gets sun all day, right to sunset. There is also a small paved garden/courtyard area, with a bike storage box exclusive to the flat, and outside there is plenty of on-street parking, with permits available for purchase from the council.

The Surroundings

The property is located on a leafy, residential street, which sees almost no traffic, and is superbly connected in terms of transport. Buses to the city are right round the corner on Brixton Road, and Stockwell tube (the hub for Victoria and Northern lines, both on the night tube) is only 8 minutes away. There is a Tesco two roads over, many other shops, and a lovely local (The Crown and Anchor) beside a park five minutes down the road. Brixton town centre, the Ritzy cinema, and Brixton Village are just beyond, and, in the other direction, it is only twenty minutes walk to Vauxhall and the river.

The Tenant 

The room will suit a professional or a mature student looking for a characterful, peaceful, fully furnished place within easy reach of the city. The landlord (M, late 30's) works in the flat as a writer, so the right chemistry (peace and quiet!) is important. The flat would be ideal for a weekly commuter to the city, or someone who does a lot of travelling: rent and bills are negotiable for someone whose lifestyle will fit.
