Available now the flat is located in Zone 1 (Bankside) next to and overlooking Hilton Bankside and with a view of Tate Modern from the bedrooms, close to the Globe Theatre and Borough Market etc. With a choice of Blackfriars (7 mins walk), Southwark (6 mins walk), London Bridge (10 mins) and Waterloo (10 mins) tube stations you are also less than 5 minutes from The Thames. Many local stores (Sainsbury’s, M&S, Tesco, Co-Op) less than 2 minutes walk.
Living Space
Living above the sound of the street and with underfloor sound insulation and double glazing the flat is both restful and yet within the buzz of London. It was fully refurbished 20 months ago and is in good decorative order.
Both bedrooms have double beds. The main bedroom also has large fitted wardrobes and further storage space as well as good condition 20 month old IKEA furniture (bed, drawers, bedside tables, desk for home working etc).
The second bedroom is smaller and has a bedside table, a wardrobe and drawers, and directly outside this bed is further storage space.
The main living area comprises fully equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, washer dryer, kettle and all cooking and dining utensils). The dining area comprises table and four chairs and the seating area comprises two sofas (one of which is also a sofa bed) and coffee table, floor lamp and TV.
Low cost programmable electric heating is installed in each room. Hot water is on a programmable timer. The flat is warm and last long term tenants said electric is approximately £30pcm in the winter months (there is no gas).
The bathroom comprises a large walk in shower (power shower), toilet and small hand basin and a heated towel rail and some storage.
The hallway is compact but has a small amount of storage. The door double locks and there is an entry phone linked to the front door downstairs. Electric meters are behind the downstairs front door. Street parking is available via the (paid) Council permit scheme. We have had several long term tenants in a row so this is a rare opportunity to experience great location, comfort and reasonable costs. We have positive feedback from past tenants.
Insurance for oven and dishwasher as well as Homeserve emergency plumbing insurance is paid for by the landlord (£80 per 1/4). Bills not included are WiFi, electric (approx £30pcm in colder months) and Council Tax (Band c: £108 pcm).
