The house is perfectly located in a popular area of South East London. Herne Hill is no more than 10 minutes walk away where you will find a myriad of shops including bakery, fruit and veg, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and great pubs. On Sundays there is the renowned Herne Hill farmers market which is definitely not to be missed. In Herne Hill you will also find access to the wonderful Brockwell Park which has unique views looking north over London, as well as tennis courts, lawn bowls, basketball, children playwark, and large open spaces to sit and relax. The park also has the famous Lido where you can swim outdoors, or access the gym. It also has an excellent cafe on site.

Another 5 minutes further on the bus you will take you to excellent and lively Brixton, with a wealth of bars, shops, pubs, restaurants, the new Pop Brixton, the famous Brixton market and Brixton Village, and the wonderful Ritzy cinema. From Brixton you can pick up the Victoria line underground to take you all over London. Going the other way from the house a 15 minute walk will take you to Dulwich Village, a wonderful part of SE London that is like no other in London in my opinion, with a fine selection of restaurants, cafes, and bars to enjoy. It is also the access to the large Dulwich Park, where you can hire bikes, pedalos, rowing boats, or simply mosey around the vast green space before a stop at the cafe. Slightly further afield, 15 mins on a bus, will take you to Crystal Palace with its huge park (and it's famous dinosaurs), fantastic bars, restaurants, craft shops, and second hand stores.
