The flat

This unfurnished one-bedroom flat  is on the ground floor of a modern gated development, and has step-free  access. It is light and airy and ideal for a single person or a couple. There is a large open-plan kitchen/dining/living  room with huge windows overlooking a water feature. The double bedroom also looks out over the  water – a bit like being in Venice, but without the gondolas! The bathroom has modern fittings, a heated  towel rail and a tiled floor. Elsewhere,  a new engineered timber floor was laid three years ago.  There is a communal garden area.

The area

Paradise Park is surrounded by nature!  The water feature replicates the original dock off the adjacent Lea River. The block is sandwiched between North Millfields Recreation Ground and South Millfields Park. The Lea River tow path is ideal for walking, running or cycling. Hackney Marshes and filter beds are a couple of minutes away, with the Olympic Park and Stratford a comfortable walk to the south. Leyton Marshes, Walthamstow Marshes and the Walthamstow Reservoirs are to the north.

Amenities

The shops, restaurants and Sunday market of Chatsworth Road are a short stroll away. For your emergency needs, there is a late-night local shop by the entrance to the flats and, of course, the wonderful and atmospheric Princess of Wales pub facing the river.

Apart from the football and rugby pitches on Hackney Marshes, local sporting facilities include the riding stables across the road, and the ice-skating centre which is currently being redeveloped. The Lea Rowing Club and Hackney RFC are a few minutes upstream.

Transport

Buses 48, 55 and 56 pass the door. Clapton Overground and Lea Bridge stations are each a ten-minute walk away.
