Plas Tudno was built in the early 1850’s by WilliamHenry Reece of Warwickshire in order toprovide a clean and healthy environment for his sick daughter, Mariana and his two unmarried sisters. Mariana made afull recovery whilst living at Plas Tudno and as thanks to God, WilliamHenry funded the complete restoration ofSt Tudnos church on the Gt Orme, William Henry is commemorated on a marbleplaque on the North wall of the church. Prior to being converted toApartments Plas Tudno has served as aprivate house, an exclusive ladies finishing school, a military hospital inboth world wars and finally as a Hotel.
