We have a double bedroom available (for one person) in our 2 bedroom flat in Clapham South (10-12 minutes walking from the station). The contract starts On March 12th, but can be vaguely flexible with moving date.
The flat, besides being close to the Northern line is well communicated by a number of buses in the area: 355 (Brixton - Mitcham) and 45 (King’s Cross – Poynders Road) both take you to Brixton in 15 minutes; 50 (Stockwell – Croydon); 137 which goes to Oxford Circus and also routes 57, 417 and 255. Both Northern and Victoria line are included in the Night tube.
Balham and Clapham Common right around the corner!
We live in a closed residential area with private access to a very large communal garden, (we’re the only ones that use it).
The room is large enough and comfortable for one person, with a double bed, a large wardrobe, a nightstand, a bookcase and a desk.
The toilet is divided in two, with a Separate WC and a strong shower.
It has a big living room, with good natural light, a large coach and a big screen TV.
The kitchen is fully equipped. Electric Oven and hobs; and dish washer.
The balcony has access to the comunal garden. Honestly, we are pretty much the only ones that use it during the weekends to make barbecues and a bit of a sunbathe.
Rent: £725 BILLS NOT INCLUDED - £80PCM / Total approx.: £800ish)
(Bills: water, gas, light, council tax. wifi)
Deposit: £1,000 which will be refunded once the contract is finished.
Contract and credit check expenses done by the real estate agency: £100
We are a couple who enjoys cooking and listening to music, watching films and living in a friendly and chilled environment with hopefully a new friend. We like to have friends and family around once in a while - so you are invited to do the same!
I am a violinist and working in music education locally and my partner is ex US military working freelance.
Ideally we are looking for someone willing to stay in the flat for the years contract as we are just renewing the contract as our current flatmate is moving out to move in with their partner; ideally professional or that has a payslip, so that the agency can perform the checks; that is responsible, organised but also relaxed.
