Location–

Brixton is one of the most vibrant areas of London with a strong sense of community. This flat means the best of it is all on your doorstep. 

It has some of London’s finest live music venues in the Academy and the Electric as well as a number of buzzing smaller venues (check out the Hootananny or Windmill pub). Club nights at Phonox, Dog Star and up on the Prince of Wales ibiza style roof terrace bring in world class DJ's.   

If you're a film fan then the Ritzy is part of the respected PictureHouse while the independent "Whirled" Cinema gives a chance to see more left field movies.  

For food Brixton Village and Market Row continue to go from strength to strength as the go-to destination in South London for budget eating from around the world. The Pop Brixton container village gives even more casual eating options and theres an ever increasing selection of more formal restaurants. Of course when you want to cook at home the markets are also a great source for interesting and fresh produce with specialty grocers like Nour and Wing Tai meaning you can easily track down the most obscure ingredients.  

For green space the wonderful Brockwell Park with its open air Lido and views over London is a 15 minute stroll through the back streets.

When you do have to leave for the rest of London the tube and train stations are just a couple of minutes away (and the walk to the station through the market never tires).  The Victoria Line will take you to Victoria in just nine minutes and King’s Cross St. Pancras in 19 minutes, and since it’s the start of the line you’ll usually get a seat as well. Buses from central Brixton are an alternative whether heading into zone 1 or around South London.
