Sheltered housing provides independent, self-contained homes with customers’ own front doors in a block, or on a small estate, where all the other customers are older people. This scheme also has their own scheme based staff member whose job is to manage the scheme and help arrange any services customers may need, including helping ensure that there are opportunities for activities and socialisation. Scheme based staff members do not provide any sort of care (domiciliary) service. Many schemes have some shared or communal facilities such as a lounge, a laundry, a guest flat and/or a garden. We also employ Wellbeing Assistants to create a supportive atmosphere by arranging activities such as coffee mornings, cards  and dominoes evenings and other seasonal events.
