Description

Note: This OpenRent Property Is No Longer Available For Rent. Description below is only for reference, and you can no longer book a viewing or contact this private landlord.

The flat

A two bedroom single level flat on the first floor of a three story 1930’s building. The flat was completely refurbished last year, including brand new appliances. The flat is made up of an open plan kitchen / lounge area and two very generous sized bedrooms. There is a separate bathroom/laundry and toilet coming off the lounge. The exterior windows are new, wooden in the original style and double glazed. There are restored wooden floors throughout except the bathroom and toilet which have rubber flooring. The property is fitted with brand new column radiator heaters and a combi boiler.

Kitchen

Polished concrete worktops and high gloss cabinets throughout. Appliances include under-bench integrated fridge, freezer and dishwasher (Bosch) as well an under-bench oven hob and extractor (Smeg) as well as LED strip lighting above the work surfaces.

Lounge

Integrated with the kitchen there is a polished concrete and cabinet space, which has phone, satellite TV and and four power sockets installed concealed within the cabinets, allowing for all the usual boxes (WiFi, TV box, audio unit) to be running out of sight.

Bathroom

A shorter than usual bath with an overhead shower. Polished concrete countertop and a large ceramic sink. It’s majority tiled, including a large integrated mirror. The space includes a concealed brand new washing machine/dryer (Bosch) and 2.5m x 4m of cupboard/storage space. The area has a window and extractor fan for ventilation.

Toilet

Separate from the bathroom, it is a ‘back to the wall’ design, partially tiled.

Bedrooms

Both are equally sized and have three double power sockets, a pendant light and a large column rad each.

*Note, the space could easily be used as a one bedroom flat, configured with one bedroom as a lounge and current the kitchen/lounge as a very large kitchen/reception area.

Balcony

The flat has its own balcony space (being the covered walkway used to enter), offering space for an outdoor table and chairs and pot plants.

NOTE: these photos don't show the flat in its fully finished state. It is now fully finished. The current tenants have recently bought their own property and will give the place a glowing reference should you want one.

The block

The block was built in 1930 and is solid double brick, it’s now mostly private with some council tenants still remaining. It has a great mix of young professionals, people from the creative industries, families and a few old timers. It has an active Tenants and Residents Association representing residents and a very successful gardening club. Whether it’s planting Himalayan birches or installing dutch style over-sized window boxes, the gardening club make the place look great and anyone can join in. There are impressive communal gardens including wild flowers, shrubs, established trees and an open lawn. It’s adjoined by small-scale roads and therefore very quiet. There is easy off-street access, a bicycle lock-up, on-site composting system and a parking bay is available upon application.

There’s loads of different transport connections, although cycling is the preferred choice for the area;
