Room in a Shared House, Canterbury Place, SE17

Hello hello ! We have a spare room in our new home!

One of the housemates got a job in Greece and moved away. So, we are looking for a person who is not simply looking for a room to live in, but a friendly place they can call home!

The house is fully furnished and very cosy. It has a massive living room (huge tv, hot-pot\dining table), a big kitchen, one full size fridge and full size freezer (separately), washer, cooker, halogen oven, lots of storage and cabinets etc. and a cozy garden where we spend a lot of our time!

The room has a toilet and a sink - you could almost call it an en-suite (but not to worry - the shared bath-shower never seems to be occupied - communal bathroom with the shower is on the 2nd floor). It also comes with a big TV, desk, built-in closet (there is extra walk-in closet in the house and more additional storage space downstairs), and a double bed. The room gets a lot of sun and is very light during nice summer days!

We are a very relaxed and easy going bunch and we would like to keep the relaxed vibe in our house! We share, like spending time with each other after work, having meals and chilling in the garden. We also lead busy lives, so we respect each others privacy and personal space.

We are looking for a likeminded, genuine person to join us, someone who is relaxed, but also responsible to keep the house in the good condition. The house has high quality wooden floors and furniture and has been kept in a very good shape by the owners!

We are renting from a private landlord, they are monitoring this ad and will be holding the viewings (a really nice family) and you would have an individual contract for your room (which is always a good to have when you don't know the people you are moving in with!).

I can’t describe how much I like the location! The area is really good, both Kennington and Elephant and Castle stations are about 7 min walk, from which London Bridge is only 3 stops away. Waterloo is 25 min walk or one tube stop away. Its also close to Embankment, Coven Garden and other central areas.

The house is away from the road, in the quiet area, so there is no noise from the streets. There is a convenience store i'd say about 20 seconds away from the house, so its very handy, if you are feeling lazy. There are a lot of shops in the area, such as Morrisons, Tesco Express (4 min away), Lidl (if you don’t mind a little walk) and Shopping Centre which includes, Tesco, Iceland, Poundland, Boots, Superdrug and more. There is also a street full of other stores and restaurants near by and a very nice wellness centre 5 min away, which has gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room and a pretty cheap membership!
