A bit of Background:
My flatmates & I have been living in this 2-floor maisonette for the past 4 months and absolutely love it here! However, due to my & my boyfriend’s plan to travel around South East Asia, and my flatmates’ plan to go to university in Birmingham in October, we are having to let it go.
The House:
The house is super well-lit with huge windows in every room. The house comes furnished with a kitchen, living room, balcony & small study room/workspace on the ground floor, and two large double bedrooms & a bathroom on the 1st floor.
The kitchen has a washing machine, a dishwasher, separate fridge & freezer, electric hob, microwave, oven, toaster & kettle.
Both bedrooms are very bright and come with lots of storage space, as well as extra storage space in the corridor between them. Currently, the 2nd bedroom contains both a double bed & a single bed, as the previous sharers were two sisters, however the single bed can be removed by the landlord on request.
Location:
The house is situated 5mins from Streatham Hill station (National Rail), 10mins from Clapham Common station (Northern Line) & 15mins from Brixton station (Victoria Line) by bus. There is a Tesco's, a pharmacy, a GP surgery & a bunch of off-licenses located just 5minutes walk away from the house. About 15-odd bus routes are within 10mins walking distance taking you to just about anywhere in London. Despite all the bus routes nearby, the house is situated in a residential area so it is nice & peaceful and you can hear the birds tweeting from the balcony (no joke!)
Rent & Deposit:
The rent is £1400 per month. The landlord requires a 6-week deposit, totalling £1938.48, which goes into a Tenancy Deposit Scheme, so it’s well protected.
Bills:
Bills are unfortunately not included, but for us came out as roughly £200 per month for the 4 of us, so £50 each.

The Fine Print:
Really nothing to hide on this one. A beautiful house, available end of September. Sharers welcome, but landlord will only accept a maximum of 4 tenants. No families & no agencies please. The landlord requires every potential tenant to go through referencing, which costs £20, but gives her reassurance that finances won't be an issue, which I'm sure you can understand the importance of! Other than that, all I can say is come for a viewing & make your mind up for yourself!
