This cute, bright apartment is on the fourth floor of the landmark Peabody mansion block, located right on Camberwell Green. The flat has one double bedroom with built-in wardrobe (complete with hand-made Japanese sliding doors!), and one single bedroom. A large living area allows for a lounge area and separate eating space. The kitchen is a great place to cook, with solid wood surfaces, powerful fan oven and dishwasher. The bathroom is fitted with a rain shower and bath-tub. The apartment comes with furniture if you like, otherwise we can take it all away. The block is newly refurbished (so new that scaffolding will be up until September). All in all, it's great for sharers or a small family.

The shops, restaurants and bars of Camberwell Church Street are right on the doorstep, as is the newly spruced up Camberwell Green with its regular farmers' market, children's play area and library. Camberwell art gallery (with a cafe that does unbelievably good coffee) and college are just down the road. The refurbished Leisure Centre is round the corner, and there are plenty of big green spaces nearby -- Myatt's Fields and Burgess Park are both a short walk away.

Buses shuttle to most points in central London in about 20 minutes. Denmark Hill station is just up the hill, giving the option of fast trains to Victoria or regular London Overground services. Oval tube on the Northern Line is a five-minute bus ride away.
