The Flat:

Location, Location, Location.

The flat is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac off old streetand 50 meters from the vibrant Whitecross street. A food market is held thereevery day. It is 3 min walk (literally 3 min) from old street tube station and5-7 min from Moorgate and Barbican tube stations. It is conveniently locatedclose to Shoreditch with all the bars and restaurant a stone's throw away. Weare 5 mins walk from the world-class Barbican Arts Centre, and 20 mins walkfrom St Paul's Cathedral.

There are three zone 1 tube stations within 10 mins walk.

It is pleasant to walk south through the City, past StPaul's cathedral, and then cross the river Thames on the pedestrian Milleniumbridge, which takes you to the Tate Modern art gallery. You can also walk northto the Angel, Islington. Walking west takes you to Bloomsbury and the BritishMuseum within about 30 mins. Area is lively and fashionable. The nightclubsof Hoxton are within 10 mins walk in one direction, and the Michelin-starredrestaurants of Smithfield are a 10 minute walk the other way.

The flat itself is a school conversion and really modern. Ithas 6-meter-high ceilings with large windows overlooking a park. The flat isapproximately 1200 sq feet (110 sq meters). The kitchen is fully equipped withdishwasher, washing machine, gas hob, electric oven, fridge-freezer. The livingroom has a large sofa, 2 huge leather lazy chairs, a 50 inch plasma TV!

The flat comes furnished and has hardwood floors throughout.It was renovated before we moved in 2010.

The Rooms:

One double room in two levels. Attached is a big bathroomwith a bath, shower and toilet. There is a walk-in wardrobe on the lower level inthe room.

The Flatmate

Khuram is a young professional, working in a venture capitalcompany with social impact and writing his own novel at the same time. He is very laidback, discreet and extremelyfunny. He is very tidy, even though there is a cleaner once a week to deal withall the “heavy duty” dirt! He has travelled a lot, he is always reading “something”or heading to the gym. Having lived for two years with him, I don’t have anyhesitation to say that he is the perfect flatmate!
