Streatham Common station is a 7 minute walk away and takes you into Balham (5 mins, and you can get on the tube on the Northern line from there), Clapham Junction, Battersea Park, London Victoria etc.
Streatham station is a 12 minute walk (or 3 minute bus ride from the end of the road) and takes you to Herne Hill, Elephant and Castle, London Bridge etc. The London Bridge train is super efficient and you get great views coming into the Shard.
*Tube*
Balham underground station (Northern Line) is just 1 stop (4 mins) on the train from Streatham Common, or Tooting Bec and Brixton underground stations are a 15 min bus ride away.
*Other amenities within walking distance*
Sainsbury's (2 mins), The Bull (2 mins, amazing pub newly refurbished after a £2 million investment), The Greyhound pub (5 mins) and other great coffee shops and restaurants, the brand new Hub development (7 mins) with enormous Tesco's, pool, gym, ice rink, go karting etc, this is also where the many shops of Streatham High Road begin.
*Green space/gym bunnies*
There's an expanse of parkland on the doorstop in the form of Streatham Common, the Rookery and Norwood Grove, perfect for satisfying those cravings for open space and ideal running territory. The Tooting Commons are also just up the road which includes the athletics track and lido.
