This charming first floor flat is in a leafy cul-de-sac in Brockley with well-lit surrounding streets that have a friendly, community feel (there’s even a summer street party once a year). There are also 24-hour CCTV cameras on the street so it feels safe.

It’s incredibly well connected, with Peckham, Nunhead, New Cross, Deptford and Camberwell all a cycle away. It’s a 10-minute walk to Brockley station (Shoreditch High Street is 30 mins away by Overground; London Bridge is two stops and 10 minutes away on the train); or a 10-minute walk to Nunhead station (Victoria is 20 minutes away by train); there are lots of bus routes too.

There is a larger double room and a smaller double room (both me and my best friend have lived comfortably in this flat together). The living room features a lovely bay window (for a reading nook in the summer or having meals at the dining room table) and looks out onto the beautifully maintained communal gardens, filled with trees, park benches and a bird feeder that attracts lots of birds and squirrels - good for sunbathing in the summer. It is well insulated with newly double-glazed windows, a godsend this winter.

It comes fully furnished, with all white goods (oven/hob, fridge, washing machine), two cupboard storage rooms (for suitcases etc), and there is bay parking available, as well as bike storage round the side of the building.

The communal spaces (hallways and stairs) and lovely gardens are regularly looked after and maintained.

It’s a buzzing area filled with creative, young professionals and independent businesses (coffee shops, yoga studios, trendy restaurants and wine bars). It is an 8 minute walk from Skehans, an Irish pub with an amazing outdoor area as well as a downstairs Thai restaurant, which is regularly voted the best pub in London. It is a stone’s throw from gorgeous Telegraph Hill (sunsets in summer are so beautiful), boutique garden centre The Nunhead Gardener, and beautiful Nunhead Cemetary. It is also a 15-minute walk to The Old Nun’s Head pub, amazing pizza place D4100, and cosy vermouth bar El Vermut.

This property would suit people who are tidy, friendly and respectful who will look after the flat, make it a home, and make the most of living in this wonderful area. I’m looking for women or couples in their late 20s or 30s only. No smokers and pets.
