Crossrail will be a 6/7 minute walk, once completed.
Journey time to City Airport is 5 minutes by DLR.

Tesco Express, M&S Foodhall, Sainsbury's Local, 2 decent gastro-pubs (Dial-Arch & The Guardhouse), Taproom Bar, and local markets all a 6/7 minute walk. Town-centre plus giant late-night Tescos in 15mins. Con Gusto restaurant (Italian) is a 5 minute walk down by the river and serves good food.
The Royal Arsenal Medical Centre & Pharmacy which I highly recommend (am registered myself) is a 5 min walk from apartment.
The Waterfront Leisure Centre is also a short walk down the Thames Pathway &has modern gym facilities/courts/pools.

There are no admin/agency fees whatsoever, although you will have to have the following;

*Proofs of pay/employment (payslips or company confirmation of pay on email).
*Proofs of identity & N. I. – Passport, License (provisional is fine) and N. I. card / physical payslip that contains n.i.no.

Deposit amount = 1 month advance rent plus 2 weeks' deposit as security. As stated there are no other fees, and you will be the first in a newly-furnished room &bathroom. Subsequent rent to be paid monthly via standing-order.
Would prefer somebody more long-term, that said, we would trial a 3-month period to begin with, so everyone's happy.
