1 Bed House Boat, Wapping High St, E1W

My wife and I are leaving to do some volunteer medical work in Central America for 4 months.

We live on an amazing houseboat on the river Thames, very close to Tower Bridge in central London.

It is extremely comfortable, fully furnished and includes everything you would expect from a luxury home (dishwasher, Nest thermostat controlled central heating,washing machine and drier, broadband, HD projector and 6-foot screen with ceiling mounted surround sound for TV and the Xbox). Bills and council tax are included. The rent will also include our cleaner who comes weekly for ~2.5hours.

Our boat has a fitted kitchen, large open plan living/dining room, 1.5 bathrooms and large master bedroom with king-size bed. There is also a deck area with BBQ for when the weather improves. The remaining rooms (second bedroom and workshop) will be used to store our things while we are away.

Our boat was built in 1906 in Belgium and was used to transport cargo through the European canals. She was converted to a houseboat in the 1970s and is in extremely good condition. She is moored at Hermitage Mooring (you can google this for more information). The community is social and very welcoming and frequently hasevents/BBQs/food/drinks/shanties in the pier house (which is available for those who live here).

It is available from early March until July 14th when we return.

We would like to interview people carefully, because living on a boat, whilst very likeliving in a flat or house, does have some differences.

This would be suitable for a couple. No smoking and no pets.
