Welcome to my home in the heart of trendy east London. This flat is in a block of newly built flats - an elevator will zoom you up to the 11th floor from where you can enjoy great views across the city and spot all the iconic buildings in London. This one bed flat is professionally cleaned and is close to whole bunch of cool restaurants and cafes. You will be spoilt for choice. Aldgate East tube station is literally one minute away!

This cosy one bedroom apartment is located in Aldgate East, very close to Shoreditch. In fact the trendiness of Shoreditch has spilled over to this side as you can see from the many bearded baristas serving coffee in cute cafes!

One of the best thing about the flat is its proximity to the tube station. Aldgate East tube station is literally one minute away but don't worry, you won't hear the trains as the flat is on the 11th floor.

Which brings me to another great thing about the flat - the sweeping views across the city and the strawberry sunsets on view each evening. Truly, it is the best place for a sundowner in the evening as you watch the lights fade across the city.

Coming to more practical things - the flat is modern, very new so everything works perfectly and well stocked. The living room has a sofabed which opens into a double sofa for two people. I have TV with the full Sky package so you can watch a loads of movies, sports and most of the channels available on air. 

The kitchen is fully equipped with kettle, toaster, dishwasher and ample pots and pans for cooking. The bedroom has a double bed with comfy duvets and pillows. The flat has a combined washer/dryer, iron and ironing board. 

Aldgate East has been swept up in the gentrification drive that started in Old Street and has spread across London. It has many advantages - it is close to the old financial heart of the capital, the City of London. It is also super close to Shoreditch and all the buzzing bars and restaurants there. Just walk across the main street and you are on Commercial Street - this is one long stretch of fantastic restaurants including the famed institution Lahore Kebab House (BYOB but be prepared to queue up). Then there is the excellent St.John Wine and Bread for fresh baking. Lupita and Boho Mexicana are two of the best places for Mexican in London.

Walking down Commercial Street, you will find your way to two famous markets in London. One is the Spitalfields and the other is the Brick Lane market. Both sell a dizzying variety of vintage clothes, shoes, knick knacks and of course there are lots of little eating places to discover. The end of Commercial Street will bring you to the heart of Shoreditch and Boxpark - a great pop up venue selling funky upcoming brands.

If you are into art then head to the Whitechapel Gallery which is making a name for itself for its modernist exhibitions.

Getting around

The closest tube station is Aldgate East which is on the Hammersmith& City and District lines. The station is only 1 minute way from the flat!

If you are flying into Heathrow, take the Heathrow Connect to Paddington station and then change to the Hammersmith & City line.
