Room in a Shared House, Goulton Road, E5

Hi everyone,

We have a room going in our lovely cosy warehouse flat, just in time for the New Year! It's in an amazing location, walking distance to Hackney central and Hackney Downs, and just behind the Windsor Castle pub. Near lots of bars and cafes, and on brilliant night bus routes. 

You'd be sharing with myself (Rhiannon), and my cat, Cat Animal (yes that is her name!). I also do Airbnb with one of the other rooms until I can find the right fit flatmate wise - so there will be airbnb guests coming and going. I've been living here almost 7 years. I need someone who is able to move in mid-January- exact date to be confirmed. If you needed to move earlier, I could possibly accommodate this too, and I am also open to short term lets.

The flat is furnished in a vintage mid-century style. The last few pictures are of the room itself - the room is pretty huge, and there is some furniture in there, though it's all my own, so can be moved if need be. 

As with all of the bedrooms, one wall has exposed brickwork, and as in the whole flat - there are solid wood floors.

So - a little bit about the rest of the flat - it's amazing. What more can I say? I love living here so much - it's light filled and airy, but cosy in winter thanks to double glazing and efficient gas central heating. The kitchen is big, and we have big tables to eat at - in general we don't do much cooking though! 

Everything is open plan, so if you like that style - this flat is great. The living room area is very big, and we have a small balcony off of the main space that lets in lots of air in summer.

We're located off Lower Clapton Road, so within easy reach of an amazing range of transport and it's a quick walk to Hackney Downs or Hackney Central. There are tons of shops, bars, pubs and restaurants nearby, so you don't really need to leave the area if you don't want to. We're basically right next door to the Windsor Castle pub if you know the area!

The flat is on the first floor and there is no one above us. We're all situated around a small courtyard, and we sometimes have neighbourly BBQs in summer.

about me: I'm a photographer - an art photographer, and my partner (who lives down the road and is over relatively often) is a fashion designer. I'm into books, records, travelling to weird places, and anything a little off-piste. I embrace the eccentrics of the world!

I'm looking for someone clean and tidy, who isn't looking for a party house. Someone with a job preferably, as I work a lot from home in the day! Someone that likes cats, and pays the rent on time, with a good sense of humour, and likes to live in a home they're proud of and want to look after.

The rent is £1050 PCM and bills are included (fibre optic internet, gas, electric, Virgin tv) - I am open to couples, though the rent would be £1350. We don't currently have a cleaner but I am keen on getting one, so that can be discussed. Deposit is one month's rent in advance.
