The house is a Victorian mid terrace house, freshlydecorated. It has three bedrooms, although there will only be one tenant. Thereis an upstairs bathroom, kitchen, two reception rooms, and a small garden, allof which will be shared., There is also a shed for string bicycles. Parking ison street, but freely available. IdealIy, I am looking for someone to share thewhole house, rather than just rent the room. The room available is on the first floor at the front.
The room I have to let is a double, with a double bed, large wardrobe, chest ofdrawers, built in cupboard. I can also supply a desk/dressing table, and achair. Decoration is new, and is in neutral shades. The rental includesall bills- water, rates, gas, electricity, superfast broadband. I plan to add another bathroom later this year, so there will be no need to share the bathroom once that is complete.
Sacriston is a former mining village, well connected with bus routes to Durhamand Newcastle, local shops, a bank, a few takeaway restaurants and a pub. I amnew to the area myself, but have found the locals to be extremely friendly andwelcoming.
My ideal tenant will be a professional person, or possibly a postgraduatestudent, who would ideally share some of my own interests- reading, cooking,theatre, cinema, walking, travel, so that we would have things to talk aboutwhen we were both at home. I lecture at both Durham and Newcastle in the businessschools, I have a son aged 24, who has left home.
